CUSCO, SACRED VALLEY, MACHU PICCHU

Tour to the core of Peru, Cusco and Machu Picchu, wandering
through village markets where ancient traditions live on in
the hearts of the Andean people. This includes the most
important Inca sites such as Saqsaywaman, Pisac,
Ollantaytambo and the Sacred Valley. You will experience the
most important aspects of the Inca culture and their people.
[Day 1]: Arrive in Lima - Check in to your hotel.
[Day 2]: Fly to Cusco - We will meet you when you arrive in the airport and
transfer you to the hotel. Andean history comes alive in Cusco which is considered the
Mecca of Peru. Quechua speaking descendants of the Incas fill the streets and markets.
This beautiful colonial town offers much to the visitor with its nearby ruins, narrow
cobblestone streets, museums and churches. In the afternoon we tour the Incas' most
prominent sites around Cusco such as Saqsaywaman, Qenqo, Tambomachay, Pucapucara and
Qoricancha, the most important Inca temple.
[Day 3]: Sacred Valley - We will drive 30 mins. to Pisac to visit an archeological
site and the local traditional market. We will then travel along the valley to the ancient
Inca city of Ollantaytambo. The Sacred Valley will be our home for the night.
[Day 4]: Machu Picchu - We will take a two hour train ride and follow the way of
the Sacred River towards the sacred city of Machu Picchu. Then, we'll relax in Aguas Calientes
village and have the option to take a bath in the natural medicinal hot spring or
explore around the village. We will overnight in Machu Picchu.
[Day 5]: Machu Picchu - We will begin the day by watching the sunrise at
Machu Picchu and listen for the spirits of the city's past inhabitants. We will then join
the groups from the Inca Trail and explore Machu Picchu for approximately 2 hours.
At all times we will be accompanied by our official, professional guide. You can then
climb the sacred peak of Wayna Picchu or take a walk through the lush cloud forest to
the Temple of the Moon. In the afternoon we will return by train to Cusco.
[Day 6]: Fly to Lima - We will transfer you to the airport in the morning for your flight to Lima. You will have extra time to visit churches or museums on your own.
[Day 7]: Return to Airport - Fly home from Lima.
